  1. First of all, this show was superb!
I wasn’t listening to ETHS back when, but I have heard about Rebecca throughout your separate pod-infrastructures. I’d like to say that I find Rebecca to be a tremendous person with a great heart and huge… eh… balls.

As a cis-hetero-white-male I found this discussion fascinating.
Not so much as an eye-opener as a sort of sit rep.

Back home (that is Sweden, albeit I now live in Warsaw, Poland) issues like gender (perceived and given/taken) have since decades been a fundamental part of striving towards equality between sexes, socio-economic statuses, education, etc. Personally, I may be complacent in believing most people nowadays do not find “the LGBTQIA groups”.

Therefore it is very interesting to hear you discuss your situation and experiences and compare them to my own views and beliefs.

    Anyway, you’re all superb!
Except for Wanda, who is a little bit too racist.

BTW, speaking of outings – wasn’t certain podcasters calling for Anderson Cooper to come out… etc., etc.

  2. I don’t use the “W” word very often, but this grum was wonderful. A few things I found particularly meaningful was the discussion on Identity Politics, the privilege of passing, and both Ragan and Rebecca’s personal stories that “made real” what is often mostly conceptual. I have a new appreciation for the breadth of gender and sexuality and a renewed commitment to “take people at their word.” Happy Thanksgiving / Chanukah.

  3. This was a great show. Lots of good discussion regarding trans issues and beyond. Thanks to Rebecca for bringing her journalistic thinking regarding current events and trans issues to the table. Weeew Weeew Weeew. Honey.

  4. The distinction between gender & sexuality was an eye opener I have to say- very thought provoking.
Please have a WEEUW-off next show to see who can weeeuuuw the longest.

  5. Fabulous show, thank you! Rebecca was great and such a great sport about the questions. I had a transgender studies course in undergrad at my leftist hippie University and it was taught by two ftm professors. Something that expanded my understanding was a piece written by (Judith) Jack Halberstam about masculinity and the way its accessed by trans men and butch lesbians. Sometimes butch lesbians access medical and surgical technologies to change their bodies in excess of some trans men. The only difference between the two sometimes is the way they identify. The piece is called: Transgender Butch: Butch/FTM Border Wars and the Masculine Continuum.
